How It Works version 1.0

A few typical situations…

1) My, that girl's cute on the other side of the subway platform, would love to say hello. What to do?

Sure, I can see the train's headlights racing down the tunnel towards me, but it still looks pretty far away. Bet I'm quick enough to fumble over the tracks and introduce myself. Besides, I only have one strike at work, I can afford to be noticeably late one more time.

2) Wish I remembered that guy's name that I was greasin' the dance floor with last night, would love to meet up with him again. What to do?

He easily had the most legit moves in the place, so I'm sure he'll be back soon to retain his title. Maybe I'll just hang by the bar and put out the vibe Llyod Christmas style all week and see if he comes back. I've got a few sick days banked anyway.

3) Crosswalk just turned and that good looking guy on the other side of the intersection is giving me the eyes. What to do?

Easy enough. I'll just smile, introduce myself and throw down with my sure-thing, "So, you come here often?" How hard could it be to exchange contact info? It's a 6 lane street, that gives me at least 12 seconds to pull the trigger.

Clearly the situations above wouldn't be ideal to use Peeked Interest, these connections would be made easily enough. But how many times can you think of where you missed an opportunity to introduce yourself or maybe you forgot to exchange contact info with someone. We feel the "Missed Connections" and "I Saw You" posts in newspaper classifieds may be a little ineffective and slightly outdated to say the least. We've created this service to provide a fun and pain-free way to have another shot at making that connection. So here's how it works:

• Peek

  If you feel like you've missed a connection, open up our app and create a new post. Whether the connection just happened or it was awhile ago, we'll give you a chance to post either.

• Share

  When you create a post, you're able to share that person's gender, hair/shirt colour and a short description. A pin is then dropped in the exact location where the connection was lost. Were you in Vancouver today with brown hair and a red shirt? Go ahead and Search the app to see if anything was posted about you.

• Connect

  Did you find a post that you think may be you? Click the "This Is Me" button and ONLY your profile picture will be sent to the poster to confirm that it was in fact you they were posting about. If they confirm "Yes", you will then get to see that person's full profile. You can either add them as a contact and message each other within the app or simply click "No Thanks" and none of your information will be shared.

This isn't one of your run-of-the-mill dating apps. Connections are triggered by seeing someone in reality; the way they look, the way they speak or simply the way they carry themselves; it's not triggered by trolling some self-created dating profile. We find what we're creating is a bit more genuine... and arguably the most important part of PI: you don't have to share ANY of your personal information with anyone unless you so choose.
